BENEFIT_NBR, BENEFIT_RCD_NBR and EMPL_RCD field relationships
What is the difference between BENEFIT_NBR and BENEFIT_RCD_NBR fields?
I had this question for so long and below is what I found.
BENEFIT_NBR:
BENEFIT_NBR field is particular to Base Benefits Enrollment. From my analysis, I found that this field is no longer used by PeopleSoft and Oracle would also confirm that. So, BENEFIT_NBR being a numeric field should always contain the value of 0.
BENEFIT_RCD_NBR:
This field is used in capturing benefits data for multiple jobs. BENEFIT_RCD_NBR field is used in employment and would contain similar values to Employee Record Number (EMPL_RCD).
