How to provide a custom message on the PeopleSoft signon page?

As the signon page is not built through PeopleCode, I thought it has to be done with either html or java scripts or through web server. No, No it is not that complex. Here is the simplest post I have come across on this in PeopleSofttipster - A very simple however extremely useful post on displaying a custom message in PeopleSoft signon page.

I feel we can also use the same logic to change the Oracle logo displayed in the default signon page. The Oracle logo can be replaced with a client specific logo. I will try to have a detailed article on this as one of my next posts.
