Reauthenticating a PeopleSoft user

An excellent post from Malar's blog which explains on how to reauthenticate an already logged in PeopleSoft user on click of a button in a PeopleSoft page. When user clicks a button, he/she should be prompted for PeopleSoft Enterprise user id and password, authenticated against the password stored in PSOPRDEFN table and should be taken to another page on successful authentication.
